Command prompt or CMD is a command line interpreter of windows operating systems.In simple way we can say that for example if we use a mouse for doing any work we take the mouse to the point and make changes or whatever we want with that file or folder.
CMD (Command Prompt) is a native application of the windows operating system and give the user an option to perform actions using commands.
How To Access CMD?
To access the commont prompt irrespectively whether you are in any version of windows.This is one of the quickest way to access the CMD just click on the windows button and type Run search bar it will open a small box just type CMD and commmand prompt will be open. For short cut just press the window + R button atonce your command prompt will be open.Let see some of the useful Windows Commands and their usage.

Ver If you want to check the version of you windows just type (ver) in CMD it will
show you windows current version.
Dir With this command you will have all files and subfolders that are present in the
folder.
Netstat It display active TCP connection port which the system is currently using.
Ping If you want to know the system connectivity between two system just type this
it sends and internet control message protocol to the destination system and wait
for the response.
Ipconfig It display current network configuration values like current TCP/IP.
Getmac This command is very useful if you want to know the Mac address of your
system type this in CMD it can also determine the address for the remote
system.
Tasklist With this command you can check all the process that are currently running
in local desktop or in remote machine.
Mstsc With Mstsc you can established a connection with a remote desktop from your
local system.
Nfsstat It displays or reset count of calls made to the server for NFS.
